Microsoft have released a new Office 365 cloud service called StaffHub. StaffHub works across all types of devices. It enables staff and managers to manage time (for example shifts), communicate within teams and share content.
Staff can check schedules, swap shifts, request time off, find information and send messages to the team or members of the team. Workers without a desk can use StaffHub with a mobile phone or tablet.
Managers can create schedules, approve requests and share real time information with teams. Managing shifts is much easier with changes communicated immediately to team members. Managers can also approve or deny requests. For example, a staff member John may need to swap a shift with another member of the team. John knows that Carol may be able to swap with him, so he sends a request to her to swap the shift. Carol agrees, and the request is automatically sent to Marcia, the team manager. Marcia approves the swap and John and Carol receive confirmation that their shifts have been swapped. Their schedules are automatically updated. The whole process is completed quickly with just a few clicks.
How To Get StaffHub
Every staff member and manager that uses StaffHub needs an Office 365 subscription. The minimum subscription level for staff that have a mailbox and need the desktop Office suite is E3. Staff that do not work at a desk and will be using StaffHub only on mobile devices or via a web browser need only a K1 subscription.
The K1 kiosk subscription is the cheapest Office 365 for Business level so StaffHub is very cost effective for any industry with mobile work forces. Some examples are:
